Meta Ad Optimization

Updated by Cassidy Chassagne

Meta Pixel

Switchboard can provide a landing page on your custom shortlink domain that fires the Meta pixel before redirecting your supporter to a final destination. This satisfies Meta's requirement of having a designated domain where conversions occur, allowing you to run conversion-optimized ads. To do this, you’ll need to share the tracking pixel your ad account uses with Switchboard, and then we'll take care of the rest.

Conversion API

Switchboard has a built-in solution that uses your ActBlue webhook data to communicate donation information back to Meta via their Conversions API. This is the most robust way to communicate data back to Meta, because it isn't affected by browser or ad blocker settings and doesn't require the donor to stay on the page post-donation. Once we connect your ActBlue data to Switchboard and you share your Meta pixel with us, we take care of the rest.

These solutions are completely free for anyone on the left, and you can use either of them or both in tandem.

How to Set up a Meta Pixel with Switchboard?

To add this to your Switchboard account, please share the Meta Pixel for your organization with Switchboard’s Meta business entity (id: 631569201099835). You can share your Pixel with other businesses by selecting the Pixel from your Data Sources in Meta’s Events Manager, then going to Settings —> Sharing.

Then, send us a note at support@oneswitchboard.com to let us know whether you want the pixel setup, the Conversions API, or both. The pixel setup requires you to have a shortlink domain with Switchboard, and the Conversions API requires you to have an ActBlue integration set up with Switchboard, but no other steps are required on your side; we'll let you know when the services are ready.
