April 2024 Product Update
We launched new products and features a few weeks ago – thank you to everyone who wrote in with feedback and additional requests. The updates below were shaped by input from many of you.
Save $ on your shortcode program
Switchboard now has the lowest shortcode pricing in the industry! Our pricing is straightforward so you can easily plan and budget. No monthly subscription fee, no hidden taxes or carrier fees - everything is baked into our low per-message cost so you know exactly how much your shortcode program will cost each time.
This pricing is available now, and we'll be doing work throughout this cycle to make it easier to keep your shortcode and peer-to-peer programs in sync when they're both on Switchboard. More updates to come!

Easily bulk unsubscribe negative text message replies
Our team developed a model to identify respondents who want to be opted out from your program. We look at inbound text messages and assign each response a score from 0 to 1, with scores closer to 1 suggesting a high likelihood of not wanting to receive your messages. You can utilize the sliding scale to filter your inbox, spot check replies, and proactively opt out anyone from receiving future messages. Doing this regularly can help you maintain good deliverability and save money.
Improve your targeting with audience builder updates
Target phones or emails that are new to your Switchboard universe. A lot of new donors and supporters are getting excited about the election! Use a saved search to easily include anyone new to your Switchboard universe in future messages (ex: people filling out a Switchboard form hosted on your website).
We added new options to our engagement filter so you can easily target recipients of previous messages.
Filter to sets of ActBlue refcodes using wildcards! You can use a “wildcard match” on refcodes to include all refcodes with a specific prefix. Just add in an asterisk in front of and/or behind the refcode (e.g. sms_* will include sms_eoq_2024q1 but not eoq_sms_full).

No longer do you need to wait on us to add your NGPVAN key to your Switchboard account. Add your key directly to your account here following our easy instructions.
